The Osan Thrift Shop sells previously owned goods to military ID card holders. All profits go back into the Osan community. NEW LOCATION!! The Thrift Shop is located in Building 403. Left of the Main (Songtan) Gate with the large parking lot. As you look at the Thrift Shop from the street, the left side is the customer entrance and the right side is the consignment entrance. Please note that we are in the process of getting signs made and put on the building. HOURS The shop is open on Tuesdays from 10am-2pm and on the first Saturday of each month from 10am-2pm. DONATIONS You may drop off items you wish to donate at any time. There is a large donation bin in front of the right side of the building. Please be sure donated items are clean and in good working order. The manager can provide you with a tax receipt for donated items when the shop is open. We welcome the donation of hangers and plastic commissary-type bags, too! CONSIGNMENTS Consignments are taken on Tuesdays from 10am-12pm. You may consign up to 15 items per day and receive 80% of your asking price for those items. Come into the shop and a consignment clerk will write up a contract for you. The only thing you have to do is set your own prices. All consigned items must be clean, free of damage, and in good working order. The consignment period is 9 weeks. Once during that period, you may lower the price on items that are not selling and you may also buy back items after paying a small fee. Any item you do not reclaim at the end of the 9 week consignment period become Thrift Shop property. Checks are issued on the 10th of each month. Plan to come to the shop to pick up your checks, or provide self-addressed, stamped envelopes if you want to receive your payments by mail. Please call the shop before you bring in large items to consign (e.g. pieces of furniture) because we may not always have space to display them. Only bring clothes for consignment appropriate to the season. IN STOCK The Thrift Shop sells appliances (small), baby items, clothing (all ages), books, crafts, decorations (seasonal), furniture (small pieces), home decor items, kitchen supplies, linens, luggage, magazines, shoes, sporting goods, toys, uniforms, videos, and all kinds of miscellany. Specific items in the photos below may not actually be in stock, but are simply examples of the types of items typically found at the Thrift Shop. |
